MPT Electrónica – Controladora Mabe S.A. de C.V. Recognized with the Affiliates Choice for Systems Excellence

LOGAN, UtahMarch 3, 2026—The Shingo Institute, part of the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business at Utah State University, is pleased to announce that MPT Electrónica – Controladora Mabe S.A. de C.V. in Santiago de Querétaro, Querétaro, México has been selected for the Affiliates Choice for Systems Excellence Recognition. This honor is awarded to affiliatenominated organizations that have developed and matured a model system aligned with the Shingo Guiding Principles, with measurable improvement over time clearly attributable to that system.

Nominated by Francisco Ramírez, Shingo Licensed Affiliate at Lensys Training Center, MPT Electrónica is being recognized for the evolution and impact of its New Product Introduction (NPI) System, a comprehensive governance model that has enabled rapid growth, crossindustry expansion, and increasingly predictable performance. Grounded in customer value creation, the system integrates standardized technical readiness reviews, formal escalation routines, and crossfunctional decisionmaking to ensure the safe and efficient launch of complex electronic products.

“I have personally witnessed how MPT Electrónica was created three years ago, and how the system has changed based on the learning and implementation of the Shingo Model and its principles, systems and behaviors,” said Ramírez. “System Design has helped drive this acceleration and successful growth.”

Over the past several years, the NPI system has advanced from a local process focused on Mabe appliance components to a mature, enterpriselevel model supporting new markets, including automotive, telecommunications, and strategic alliances, for example, with GE. Standardized crossfunctional readiness reviews and structured escalation mechanisms now allow teams to detect and address risks early, reducing latestage design changes, launch escapes, and unstable rampups. These improvements have strengthened internal handoffs, enabled consistent alignment across functions, and ensured decisions remain anchored in customer value rather than local optimization.

The impact of this disciplined approach is evident. Revenue has increased while quality, delivery, and operational stability have been maintained amid rapid expansion, and launch performance has similarly strengthened, with exemplary successful project completions recorded. Leadership and team behaviors further reinforce system maturity. Today, the system serves as a benchmark for rapid, reliable customer response and predictable execution at scale.

“MPT Electrónica has demonstrated how a principledriven system can unlock business growth, strengthen customer confidence, and accelerate innovation across industries,” said Ken Snyder, Executive Director of the Shingo Institute. “Their disciplined governance, measurable performance improvements, and commitment to systems thinking make them an exceptional recipient of the Affiliates Choice recognition.”

MPT Electrónica will be formally recognized at the Shingo Connect Awards Gala in San Diego, California, on March 19, 2026. Shingo Connect bring professionals from across industries together to learn, connect, and grow with one shared goal: to improve every day. This year’s theme—Accelerating Human-Centered Transformation—explores how true excellence emerges when technology and systems align with people, culture, and principles.
